Drama 'Michha Raaga' Staged by Baleswar Theatre Group 'Srasta'

At the Srasta Naatya Aalay located in Makalpur, Balasore, the local theatre group Srasta staged the play 'Michha Raaga, penned by noted playwright Pitambar Das.

The evening commenced with a formal gathering led by playwright and Srasta secretary Hemendra Mahapatra. The programme was inaugurated by renowned dramatist Dr. Pradeep Bhowmik, who graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Other distinguished guests included Srasta President Alok Kumar Sahoo, playwright Pitambar Das, and director Prasanna Kumar Das, each of whom shared their thoughts with the audience.

Following the inaugural session, Srasta artists Govind Dwivedi, Dibakar Mohanty, Samarai Kar, Swagatika Barik, Swati Smita Das, and Sourajit Sahoo brought the play to life on stage. While the script and songs were written by Pitambar Das, the direction was handled by Prasanna Kumar Das and the music direction by Guru Nanda Kishore Das.

The comedy-drama 'Michha Raaga' explored how innocent misunderstandings or petty quarrels—rooted in false grievances—can deepen familial bonds through affection, tenderness, and love. The play conveyed this message with humor and heart, resonating deeply with the audience, who enjoyed the performance immensely.
