ENROLLMENT CAMPAIGN IN BHUBANESWAR
Bhubaneswar (04/04/2024): Aiming to identify the dropout children, child labour, domestic child labour and rag picking children from urban slum pockets of Bhubaneswar city, enroll them in government school on the occasion of Prabesh Utsav, an enrollment drive (NAMA LEKHA ABHIYAN) was conducted at Patharabandha slum under ward No-17 under Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The programme was organised by ActionAid Association in collaboration with Centre for Child & Women Development (CCWD) and Government Primary School Second Postal Colony.
To sensitize the slum dwellers to enroll their children in schools, slogans Like- (“DHARA SILATA – DHARA KHADI”) (“CHALA JIBA- PATHA PADHI”), (“SISU RA BIKASH”- DESA RA BIKASHA “) were used.
Head-Mistress Sailaprava Panda, Teacher Majulata Behera and Teacher Naxtramalini Pattanayak joined on this occasion.
The programme was coordinated by Bhaskar Chandra Pradhan, Shiba Sahoo, Soumya Ranjan Das, Sucharita Behera and Bishnupriya Samal.
