FAKE CURRENCY NOTES WITH FACE VALUE OF RS 32700 SEIZED IN BALASORE
Balasore(27/08/2023): The Nilagiri police in Balasore district seized fake currency notes with a face value of Rs 32,700 from two persons. The accused identified as Purnachandra Nayak and Binapani Mukhi were arrested. According to Balasore SP Sagarika Nath, both the accused were nabbed after a liquor shop owner lodged a complaint alleging that he has been duped with fake currency notes of Rs 500 denomination. Nilagiri police formed a team and nabbed Purnachandra.
Later, a woman Binapani was subsequently arrested for her involvement in circulation of fake currency notes in the region. The fake notes were printed using high quality paper and printers.
The prime accused has been identified and will be nabbed soon, the SP informed.
