Former MP Rabindra Kumar Jena Extends Helping Hand to Two Helpless Orphaned Children

Balasore – 18/5 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): In a heart-wrenching turn of events, two minor boys from the tribal hamlet of Mangapokhari under Aruha Panchayat in Jaleswar Block, Balasore district, lost both their parents and have been struggling to survive. Upon learning about their plight, former Member of Parliament Rabindra Kumar Jena personally visited the children and extended a compassionate hand of support.

It is worth noting that Srushtidhar Singh of Mangapokhari passed away from a heart attack eight years ago. Since then, his wife Seema had been raising their two sons while staying at her parental home. However, tragedy struck again a few days ago when Seema died unexpectedly, leaving behind her two orphaned sons—one aged 8 and the other 12—with no means to perform their mother's last rites.

Upon hearing of their dire situation, former MP Rabindra Kumar Jena visited the children on Saturday. He provided them with essential groceries, new clothes, and financial assistance for the cremation rituals of their mother. Furthermore, he assured complete support for their education and future development, promising all possible help to ensure a brighter tomorrow for the two boys. The relatives of the children expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Jena for his timely and humane intervention.

Mr. Jena was accompanied by District Council Vice-Chairperson Anusuya Pradhan, BJD leader Lenin Pradhan, District Biju Chhatra Janata Dal President Simon Das Mahapatra, Jaleswar Municipality Councillor Gobinda Chandra Sahu, former Sarpanch Madhusudan Dutta, Harish Bhuyan, student leader Gaurav Das, youth leader Gautam Patra, Prabhat Sahu, Ward Member Preetimala Pradhan, BJD leader Manoj Pradhan, social workers Tarani Bhuyan and Dipu Samal, along with many local residents.
