GAJA SATHI INJURED IN ELEPHANT ATTACK
Balangir(20/11/2023): A Gaja Sathi (elephant friend) was critically injured after being attacked by an elephant at Bubelguma village in Deogaon Udar Panchayat of Balangir district on Monday. The person was trying to drive away a herd of ten elephants from a human settlement when the incident took place. He was rushed to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital. The Gaja Sathis have been engaged by Odisha government to contain elephant menace .
