Green sticker to be mandatory on vehicles from February: Minister
Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): From the month of February, vehicles will be required to display a green sticker, informed Transport Minister Bibhuti Jena on Saturday.
The Minister said that vehicles which have a valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate will be given a green sticker. The green sticker will be provided by the Transport Department.
Action will be taken against vehicles that do not have a pollution certificate.
As Road Safety Month is approaching, checking has been relaxed.
The increased fines imposed in 2019 will be reviewed for relaxation.
Since fines are lower in other states, a review is underway in our state as well.
He further stated that since both new and old vehicles are being issued pollution certificates, the matter is being reviewed accordingly.
