HISTORIC BALI JATRA BEGINS IN CUTTACK
Cuttack (27/11/2023): The historic Bali Jatra commenced on the banks of Mahanadi river near Gadagadia ghat in Cuttack on the occasion of Kartika Purnima. The eight-day maritime trade fair was inaugurated by Ministers Bikram Keshari Arukha, Ranendra Pratap Swain and Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Mayor Subash Singh. More than 1400 stalls have been erected at the fair venue.
A total of 100 CCTV cameras have been installed to keep a strict vigil on suspicious activities. Besides, 60 platoons of police force have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident.
