INDIAN RAILWAYS TO RUN 315 SPECIAL TRAINS TO PURI DURING RATH JATRA

Bhubaneswar (28/06/2024): Indian Railways will run 315 special trains during Rath Jatra. The trains will connect Puri, informed Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw after holding discussions with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Friday. The Minister said, "Discussion regarding the facilities to be provided by the Railway Department was held with Odisha Chief Minister and two Deputy Chief Ministers.

It was decided that 315 special trains would run to and from Puri, which is more than last year’s number.

Almost all areas will be covered.

A huge tent will be put up near the station where 15,000 passengers can be accommodated." This year, the Rath Jatra is on July 7.
