Bhubaneswar: The Indian Youth Forum organised International Youth Day on Wednesday at Ramadevi Women's Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar. Youth are vital to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They are the active agents of change, driving progress on local, national, and global levels. Young people are particularly crucial in areas like climate action, inclusive societies, fighting hunger, and promoting good health and well-being.
With this background International youth Day was celebrated by Indian Youth Forum (IYF) at Ramadevi Women's HSS Bhubaneswar in cooperation with Ramadevi Women's HSS, Bhubaneswar IGNOU Regional Center. Best online courses
The event was participated by more than 100 youths and staff members of the college.
The discourse was held on Youth and SDG.
The guests speakers of the event was Dr Saroj Laxmi Principal, Ramadevi Women's HSS,Dr Santosh Panigrahi, Additional Director, IGNOU Regional Center, Bhubaneswar, Dr Raghunath Mandal, ADPO,NSS,Khordha, Dr Gopal Krushna Acharya, Assistant Professor in Odia, Ramadevi Women's HSS, Dr Bimla Kujur, Faculty Department of Psychology, Dr Susant Pattnaik, Academics and former NSS coordinator Ramadevi Women's University, Smrutirekha Sahoo, Post Graduate teacher in Economics, Jyotirmayee Mohapatra, Mentor IYF and youth representative Swapna Nayak, Bidyabharati Nayak , Kshyanaprava Rath spoke on the occasion.
The event was strated with pouring water in the plant by all the guests.
The programme was coordinated by Swapna Nayak, State Lead IYF.
To motivate the youths to Say No, do not compete with others, be bold and confident, face the situation, obey your parents and siblings, plan your me time and spend quality time for that were few of the tips given by the esteemed guests to the youth to lead a happy and healthy life.
Youth are the change agents and can bring change in the society, can promote a healthy society .
