International Jagannath Mahotsav in Bhubaneswar from November 8
Bhubaneswar(16/09/2024): The International Jagannath Mahotsav 2024 will be held in Bhubaneswar from November 8 to 13. A preparatory meeting for the International Jagannath Mahotsav 2024 was held at the Bhubaneswar Circuit House.
The festival will be held at Kasturba (Ravana Podi) grounds in Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar.
The event will feature 24 besha (forms) of Lord Jagannath, daily yajna, bhajans, mahari dance, sankirtan, and a devotees' conference.
There will be stalls showcasing Lord Jagannath's 56 bhoga (offerings), books, paintings, handicrafts, and an Ananda Bazaar. Eminent speaker Baba Amritananda Das Maharaj will deliver lectures on topics related to Lord Jagannath's Skanda Purana.
A managing committee was formed to oversee the event's organization, with Jagannath Pradhan as the chairman and former MLA Dr.
Dilip Srichandan as the working chairman.
The meeting was attended by several notable personalities, including former MLA Jayanta Sarangi, Daitapati Bhabani Prasad Das Mahapatra, Rotarian Engineer Sudhanshu Sekhar Harichandan, intellectual Dr Narayan Mohapatra, Aditya Padhi, Prakash Srichandan, Pabitra Routaray, corporator Amaresh Jena and Nagen Kumar Sahu.
The meeting was presided over by Dilip Srichandan, and Pradeep Kumar Routray extended the vote of thanks to the participants .
