Maha Shivaratri Celebrated with Devotion at Ishaneswar Mandir
The holy festival of Maha Shivaratri was celebrated with immense devotion and spiritual enthusiasm in Bhubaneswar on Friday night. Thousands of devotees observed the sacred occasion with fasting, prayers, and night-long worship dedicated to Lord Shiva.
A large number of devotees gathered at Ishaneswar Mandir, Bhimapur, Unit-6, where the temple premises were beautifully decorated with flowers and illumination.
The atmosphere resonated with devotional chants of “Har Har Mahadev” as priests conducted special rituals throughout the evening.
The most awaited moment of the celebration was the lighting of the sacred Mahadeep.
As the holy lamp was lit atop the temple, devotees offered heartfelt prayers, marking a spiritually uplifting moment symbolizing faith and divine blessings.
After the Mahadeep lighting ceremony, members of the Maa Damunei Committee distributed more than 3,000 glasses of Holi Pana among devotees.
The refreshing traditional drink was served as a gesture of community service and devotion, bringing joy and comfort to the large gathering.
The celebration concluded peacefully with continuous bhajans and prayers, reflecting the deep spiritual spirit and unity among the residents of the Temple City.
