AI film on Rath Yatra history released at Bari
Bari(By Abhishek Mohanty): An Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based documentary film highlighting the history of Mahaprabhu’s Rath Yatra from 1855 to 1869 and the significance of Dadhivamana Temple was formally released at Bari in Jajpur district.
The film has been launched on the official YouTube channel of Shree Jagannath Sanskruti Prachar Sansthan.
The release event witnessed the participation of prominent members associated with Jagannath culture and the temple administration. On the occasion, individuals who have been consistently working for the preservation and promotion of Jagannath culture in the region were felicitated with the “Shree Jagannath Sanskruti Rakshak Samman.”
Speakers at the event emphasised that Lord Jagannath’s Snana Yatra is observed on Jyestha Purnima and the Rath Yatra on Ashadha Shukla Dwitiya, in accordance with established religious traditions. They stated that the daily rituals (Niti) and long-standing customs of Mahaprabhu cannot be altered by human intervention. Participants unanimously opposed any attempt to distort or modify Jagannath culture.
Members present at the programme included Dr. Narayan Mohapatra, Bijay Mohan Panda, Parashuram Das, Trilochan Nayak, Manoj Nayak, Suresh Mishra, Anupama Mishra, Bharati Bhushan Pattnaik, Anamika Swain Pattnaik, Srinivas Rao, Muktikanta Barik, along with other key members of the temple and cultural bodies.
Meanwhile, the Shree Jagannath Pancharatra Prachar Samiti announced plans to expand Pancharatra-related programmes across the state, country, and abroad.
The committee informed that informational books such as “Shree Jagannath Saurabh Sambhar” will be published in Hindi and English, and one-day, two-day, and three-day satsang programmes will be organised extensively.
Efforts are also being made to conduct spiritual discourse programmes internationally.
The event concluded with a collective pledge by participants to continue working lifelong for the protection and promotion of Jagannath culture.
