Odisha CM announces 4 lakh aid for family of deceased Khallikote student

Khallikote(By Abhishek Mohanty): Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday expressed condolences over the untimely death of Class 10 student Mihir Pradhan in Khallikote area of Ganjam district.

In a statement, the Chief Minister announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. He has directed officials to ensure that the ex-gratia amount is disbursed to the bereaved family without delay.
The tragic incident occurred at the hostel of Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centre, where the student reportedly fell unconscious on the campus in the morning hours. He was immediately taken to a hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead.
The cause of death remains unclear.
