MAJOR TRAIN MISHAP ON ODISHA-ANDHRA BORDER CLAIMS FOUR LIVES, INJURES OVER 50

Rayagada(29/10/2023): A major train mishap took place on Odisha-Andhra border on Sunday. The incident happened near Alamamda Railway Station. Odisha's Rayagada-bound train hit Palasa passenger train from the rear.

Following the mishap, one coach of Palasa passenger jumped onto the main line which was then hit by a goods train coming on the same line. Sources said that four persons lost their lives while more than 50 others were injured.
