RS 2000 CRORE TO BE SPENT FOR DISASTER-RESILIENT INFRASTRUCURE IN ODISHA
Bhubaneswar(29/10/2023): The Odisha government will spend Rs 2,000 crore for disaster-resilient infrastrucure in the state.
This was announced by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the occasion of Odisha Disaster Preparedness Day. Through a video message, the Chief Minister said, "Red Cross will impart training to ten persons from each village on disaster management.
Government officials will also undergo training." The state government has also decided to set up automated weather and rain gauge stations in every panchayat.
World Bank will provide financial assistance for 3,000 panchayats in this regard.
