Balasore, 7/7 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): In response to the devastating floods that hit Subarnarekha during the last week of June, a large-scale health camp was organized to address the pressing healthcare needs of rural communities. A dedicated team of experienced doctors offered free medical services to the affected population.

Inaugurating the camp, Govinda Ballav Dalai, President of Yuba Bikash, announced that more such camps would be held in the future. The program was coordinated by 'Juba Bikash' Co-director Asit Kumar Dalai along with local leaders Purnachandra Jena, Hemanta Kumar Dalai, Laxmipriya Mandi, Subash Khuntia, Rakhal Maity, and Jagadish Parida.

Over a hundred villagers from Nayabali, Ikadapal, Kulha, Rasulpur, and Bishnupur availed medical services at the camp. People suffering from ailments like arthritis, fever, cough, diarrhea, skin conditions, and pediatric illnesses received medical consultations from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Prominent doctors such as senior rheumatologist Dr. Ravi Narayan Das, surgical specialist Dr. Manoj Barik, Dr. Anup Kumar Dhada, and pharmacist Deepak Kumar Barik provided diagnosis and treatment throughout the day. A bike ambulance service was made available by the Banabharati Foundation, which helped transport patients from remote areas who couldn’t otherwise reach the venue.

Social worker Gagan Paital, who traveled all the way from Bhubaneswar, distributed clothing and daily essentials to over 500 families. Special dry rations were also provided to differently-abled families through 'Juba Bikash’ relief efforts.

Key volunteers from Juba Bikash Nayabali, including Dayananda Jena, Uttam Kumar Pila, Sannyasi Jena, Manmatha Behera, Pujarani Patra, Madhusmita Kar, Anita Panigrahi, Anjana Pila, Laxmipriya Badhei, Mamata Kar, Malati Sahu, Arati Sahu, Harekrushna Jena, Bidyadhar Das, Nayan Panigrahi, Amita Kar, and Karunakar Senapati played vital roles in making the initiative successful.
