NATIONAL WELDING MEET 2023 KICK-STARTS AT BHUBANESWAR
Bhubaneswar(01/09/2023): The flagship event of The Indian Institute of Welding (IIW-India), National Welding Meet (NWM) 2023 kick-starts at Bhubaneswar on Friday. IIW-India , Bhubaneswar Centre is organising this 2-day National Welding Meet (NWM)-2023 in association with the Utkal Chamber of Commerce & Industry Ltd.(UCCIL ) in UCCL Auditorium Hall on 1st and 2nd September 2023.
National Welding Meet (NWM) 2023 was inaugurated by Sankar Biswas, Chief of Mechanical Maintenance, Tata Steel, in presence of Gyana Ranjan Mohanty, Chairman, IIW Bhubaneswar Centre, Dr.Brahmananda Mishra, President, UCCIL, R.Srinivasan, Vice President-International Institute of Welding cum Past President, IIW-India, Rahul Sengupta, Vice-President, IIW-India, Prof.Santanu Das, Kolkata Branch, IIW-India, Rituraj Bose, Honorary Secretary General, IIW-India, Prof.Omkarnath Mohanty, IIW- India Bhubaneswar Center. Speaking on this occasion Gyana Ranjan Mohanty, Chairman, IIW Bhubaneswar Centre said, We are very privilege to organise this national conference for the first time in Odisha.
This year the theme is “Present Day Welding, Challenges and Opportunities.
Eminent speakers from Academia and Industry are participating in NWM-2023 who will be sharing their valuable knowledge and experience, through their presentations and discussions.
These will be relevant to the welding activity going on in a variety of industries, such as Steel, Aluminum, Petro Chemicals, Mining , infrastructure and all allied industries .
Welding Plays a vital role in most of our Engineering Activities, The knowledge shared during the NWM-2023 will be an useful takeaway for all the participating professionals and members from the academia associated with welding. Addressing the conference, Brahmananda Mishra, President, UCCIL, said, Welding is an essential component of many industries such as the automotive industry, the construction industry, the aviation industry, and more.
Without this form of metal work, so many things, including many buildings, gates, and fences, small kitchen appliances, vehicles - and even space travel - would not exist.
So its good to see Bhubaneswar hosting such national conference and discussing on the industry challenges and opportunities.
