No flood threat to Odisha
Bhubaneswar (31/07/2024): There is no flood threat to Odisha.
This was informed by Engineer-in-Chief Bhakta Ranjan Mohanty on Wednesday. Mohanty said, "The water level of Mahanadi is decreasing and two sluice gates of Hirakud Dam have been closed.
Keeping the situation in view, more gates of Hirakud will be closed in phased manner." Yesterday, a meeting was convened on flood situation in the state.
