Kalbaisakhi-rain to bring much-needed respite from in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: (By Abhishek Mohanty) Several places in Odisha may get much-needed respite from the scorching heat conditions prevailing across the state.

Under the influence of Kalbaisakhi (nor'wester), the day temperature is likely to drop by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius from April 28 .
There is a possibility of strong thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in the state for three days.

Heatwave is expected to persist for two more days. Western Odisha is likely to be more affected. 
Temperature may rise again from May 1, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre of India Meteorological Department stated.
