Odisha Higher Education Department's Instagram account, website of Ravenshaw University hacked

Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): The official account of Odisha Higher Education Department was reportedly hacked for a brief period on Monday.

The hacker uploaded several obscene videos and betting-related clips on the social media handle of the department.
Immediate steps were taken to retrieve control of the account. Unrelated posts were also removed from the account.
The authorities concerned have started an investigation to track the source of the cyberattack.

Similarly, the official website of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack was also hacked. When accessed, the website redirected users to a suspicious betting platform named 'BENTO4D', instead of the usual interface of the university.
