Odisha Mining & Infrastructure International Expo 2025 – Day 3 Highlights: Women’s Day Celebrations, Key Presentations, and Recognition of Industry Leaders

Bhubaneswar(08/03/2025): The third edition of the Odisha Mining and Infrastructure International Expo 2025, currently being held at Baramunda Ground, Bhubaneswar, continued to be a resounding success as it concluded its third day with remarkable events, thought-provoking panel discussions, presentations by leading international companies, and a special Women’s Day celebration. The third day of the Expo began on an ambitious note with distinguished speakers addressing the theme, ‘DRIVING VALUE: BRINGING PROSPERITY’.
Golak Mahapatra, Vice President of BJP Odisha, attended the panel discussion as the chief guest along with Pankaj Satija from Tata.
Speakers included Sadashiv Samantaray, Director Commercial, NALCO; Swami Prem Anveshi, MD, Futurex; B K Satpathy, Ex- Executive Director, NALCO; Shri Sanjay Patnaik, Director, Essar; and Priyanka Parida,Advocate Supreme Court, who shared insights on the role of mining and infrastructure in driving economic growth and prosperity for Odisha and beyond. In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Expo recognized and honoured remarkable women who have made significant contributions to the mining industry through the Women in Mining Awards 2025 and the Change Makers Awards 2025.
The award ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Justice Arijit Pasayat, Chairman of SIT (Black money), and the Special Guest, Manmohan Samal, President of BJP Odisha.
Swamy Prem Anveshi, Chairman of FutureX, and Dr.Tapan Chand, Chairman of the Organizing Committee & Ex-CMD of NALCO were among the other guests. The Women in Mining Awards 2025 were presented to the following outstanding women: Prof.Dr.Er.Sunita Routray, Dr.Ranjita Swain Mohanty,Arati Devi, Arapana Srivastava (Trailblazer Award - KCC's Iron Women), Priyadarshini Mohanty (Leadership Excellence Award). The Change Makers Awards recognized the remarkable achievements of several industry leaders, with awards presented Gargi Bhattacharya,Amrita Sabat, Dharitri Patnaik, Prassana Patro , Dr.Shraddha Padhi,Smita Sucharita Nayak, Sanju Patro, Afreen Saif, Ruheena Priyadarshi, Surekha Routray, Kapila Nagpal, Bedamati Mohapatra, Nidhi Dhawan, Tammana Jeet Singh, Kalyani Acharya and Nivedita Satpathy. Additionally, several prominent international companies, including Sspb Russia, Rotrex,Tkil Industries, Victrulic and Mmd Heavy Machinery took center stage during the day with insightful presentations on topics related to sustainable development, innovation, and growth within the mining sector.
These presentations highlighted the global commitment towards responsible mining practices and the critical role the industry plays in the development of infrastructure. The Expo continues to be a vital platform for discussions, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among key industry leaders, government officials, and stakeholders, as well as to empower businesses, enable technology adoption, and drive sustainable growth in the industry, thereby driving the future of mining and infrastructure in India and across the globe.
