Odisha SME Minister's initiative to appoint Special Educators

Bhubaneswar (21/12/2024): On the instructions of Speaker of Odisha Assembly Surma Padhi, a positive discussion was held with the representatives of SAKSHAM Odisha and Odisha Special Educator Federation for Divyang Association with Minister of School and Mass Education Nityananda Gond to appoint permanent special educators for education of Disabled students in general schools.

SAKSHAM Odisha Secretary Manasmita Jena, OSEFD President SuryaKant Behera, OSEFD Joint Secretary and SAKSHAM DHIMAHI Pramukh Ayusman Choudhury, Nayagarh District President Truptimayee Pradhan, Secretary Subhasmita Mishra, member Abhishek Acharya and Hitesh Kumar Mahant were present in this discussion.

The Minister has taken the entire issue seriously and promised to take immediate action on it and immediately sent the delegates to the SME Principal Secretary for detailed discussions.

The Sangh has firmly stated that if permanent special educators for Divyang children are appointed in general schools soon, about 6000 special educators will be appointed and 1.5 lakh Divyang students will get better education.
