ODISHA TRANSFORMER MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION ELECTS NEW OFFICE BEARERS AT 2ND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Bhubaneswar(21/04/2024): The Odisha Transformer Manufacturers Association (OTMA) convened its 2nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, marking a significant milestone in the journey of the association.
The AGM provided a platform for members to review the progress made over the past year, discuss key industry developments, and chart the course for the future.
Gouri Shankar Dash, Chairman of Odisha Assembly of Small and Medium Enterprises (OASME) and Satwik Swain, Secretary General OASME graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
Sarada Prasanna Das, Acting President of OTMA, Pradeep Kumar Nayak, Acting General Secretary, OTMA, Bijaya Kishore Nanda, Acting Joint Secretary, OTMA were present on this occasion. Speaking on this occasion, Sarada Prasanna Das, Acting President, OTMA said, "As we gather for our 2nd Annual General Meeting, I am reminded of the immense strides we've taken together as the Odisha Transformer Manufacturers Association.

During the AGM, several important announcements were made, including the election of newly appointed office bearers who will lead the association in its mission to promote and strengthen the transformer manufacturing sector in Odisha. More than 100 members across the districts of Odisha were present on this occasion and took part in the election process.
Ten members who were unable to attend the AGM took part in the election process virtually.
Sarada Prasanna Das was re-elected as the President of the association.
After his re-election as the new president of the association Sarada Prasanna Das expressed his gratitude for the trust and confidence bestowed upon him by the members as he assumes the role of President.
He emphasized the commitment of the newly elected office bearers to serve the interests of the association and its members diligently. "I am deeply honoured to have been re-elected as General Secretary, of the Odisha Transformer Manufacturers Association.
As we embark on this journey, I am committed to fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and advocating for the collective interests of our members.
Together, we will work towards advancing the transformer manufacturing sector in Odisha and contributing to the growth and development of the industry," said Pradeep Kumar Nayak. The newly elected office bearers are Sarada Prasanna Das (President), Pradeep Kumar Nayak (General Secretary),Bijay Kishore Nanda (Joint Secretary cum Treasurer), Sovan Das Mohapatra (Vice President OTMA North), Satyabrata Jit (Vice President OTMA West), Madhusudan Sabat (Vice President OTMA South), Hurshikesh Das (Vice President OTMA Central) and Advocate Biswa Narayan Mohanty- Chief Legal Advisor. The AGM also provided a forum for members to discuss pertinent issues facing the transformer manufacturing industry, including regulatory challenges, technological advancements, and market trends.
Participants engaged in productive discussions aimed at finding solutions to common challenges and exploring opportunities for collaboration and growth. Looking ahead, OTMA remains committed to its mission of promoting excellence, innovation, and sustainability in the transformer manufacturing sector.
