•Dasakathia and Odissi Performances Enthral Audience in the Evening

Balasore, 18/6 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): On the second day of the 11th Patidia Ankan Festival, artists added vibrant colours to their line sketches of Ananta Basudeva, Ananta Narayan, and Bhubaneswari drawn on the traditional scroll.
In the evening cultural session, artist Keshudas coordinated the event while Arun Barik welcomed the guests to the stage. Subrata Nayak, Vice President of NOCCi, Bhagabata Pani, an Odissi dance guru, and Vijay Kumar Acharya, a noted social worker, graced the event as distinguished guests. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ankita Das.
The cultural program featured a soul-stirring Dasakathia performance by the musical duo Purnachandra Behera and Bhavani Rani Behera from Basta Pandarungi, who presented the glories of Lord Jagannath through their folk art form. The audience was further enchanted by Odissi dance recitals by Debasmita Sen, Sai Nirjhara Pani, Rishita Ray Dalai, Bidisha Panda, and Lopamudra Patra.
Short dance sequences were beautifully performed by Nandini Biswal, Anshika Mohapatra, and Amrita Behera. A captivating Jagannath Janana performance by Nandini Nayak, Nabin Mandal, and Papun Pradhan added a devotional note to the evening and deeply moved the audience.
