“Collection-30” Group Art Exhibition Inaugurated in Balangir

Balasore, 18/6(Krushna Kumar Mohanty): The vibrant and culturally rich town of Balangir witnessed the grand inauguration of a distinguished group art exhibition titled “Collection-30” on June 17, 2025. Hosted at the Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi’s Regional Art Gallery, situated at Rugudi Dhipa near Children's Park, the exhibition began with much enthusiasm and traditional fervor.
The exhibition features 35 exquisite artworks created by nine selected young artists from western Odisha districts including Balangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Subarnapur, and Bhawanipatna. Among the many captivating pieces, the four watercolor paintings by artist Kedar Nayak from Bargarh stood out as a major attraction for visitors.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by renowned painter of western Odisha Shri Basudev Meher as the Chief Guest, alongside Shri Rashmi Ranjan Mishra, District Culture Officer (D.C.O.) of Balangir. Both dignitaries deeply appreciated the creativity, vision, and technique of the participating youth, encouraging them to continue shaping Odisha’s artistic future.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Meher remarked, “Young artists are the brushstrokes of tomorrow’s Odisha,” reflecting his admiration for their innovative approach and cultural rootedness.
The exhibition is open to the public daily from 11 AM to 7 PM and will continue until June 22, 2025, inviting art lovers and enthusiasts to immerse themselves in this collective creative journey.
