PM Modi calls for excellence as India’s growth accelerates

New Delhi (By Abhishek Mohanty): Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded India’s growing Artificial Intelligence (AI) startup ecosystem and called upon the youth to actively contribute to the nation’s development.

Addressing the 30th edition of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, the Prime Minister shared a special message on the occasion of National Voters’ Day.

Emphasising the importance of voting, he said, “The nation must celebrate the right to vote. Voting is a major milestone in a citizen’s life. When a young person becomes a voter for the first time, the entire neighbourhood, village, or city should come together to congratulate them and distribute sweets. This will create awareness about voting and strengthen the sense of responsibility among citizens.”

Highlighting India’s progress in the technology sector, the Prime Minister noted that the country has emerged as the third-largest startup ecosystem in the world.

Extending his Republic Day greetings to the nation, PM Modi said that January 26 provides an opportunity to remember and honour the architects of the Indian Constitution.

Referring to India’s rapidly growing economy, he stressed the importance of quality and innovation.

“Whatever we manufacture, we must pledge to continuously improve its quality. Excellence should be our benchmark,” he said.
