Ten platoons deployed for security at Khandagiri Mela

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): The annual Khandagiri Mela commenced in Bhubaneswar on Sunday with elaborate security arrangements in place. 

As many as ten platoons of police force have been deployed to ensure law and order during the festival.
Providing details of the security measures, ACP Tapas Pradhan said that the deployment includes one Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), one Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), three inspectors, and 27 officers.

In addition, one platoon of plainclothes personnel will be deployed to keep a close watch in crowded areas.

CCTV cameras have been installed on the Khandagiri and Udayagiri hills to monitor the movement of visitors. 

Special surveillance arrangements have also been made at Jayadev Vatika to prevent any criminal activities.
