Principals’ Conference of Affiliated Colleges Held at Fakir Mohan University: Key Deliberations on NEP 2020 and Institutional Reforms

Balasore, 22/04 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): A significant conference was organized at the Postgraduate Council Hall of Fakir Mohan University, bringing together the principals of all colleges affiliated with the university.
Presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Santosh Kumar Tripathy, the conference featured Dr. Hemanta Kumar Ghadei, Regional Director of Education, and Professor Dr. Susmita Prasad Pani, a distinguished member of the Odisha State Higher Education Council, as chief guests.
The primary aim of the conference was to deliberate on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, its effective implementation, and its policy framework. Detailed discussions were held on key components such as SWAYAM, ABC ID, APR ID, online migration, and e-affiliation, with special focus on identifying and addressing operational challenges.
In his keynote address, Vice Chancellor Professor Tripathy urged all college principals to ensure their institutions actively participate in the NAAC and NIRF accreditation and evaluation processes. He emphasized the university's firm commitment to fully implement NEP 2020 and to uphold its objectives in letter and spirit.
Professor Dr. Susmita Prasad Pani, in her speech, highlighted various critical aspects of NEP 2020 and encouraged a positive approach toward the expected qualitative changes in higher education. Dr. Hemanta Kumar Ghadei shed light on the broader goals and vision behind the formulation of the new education policy.
Other distinguished attendees included University Registrar Kumumina Das, Chairman of the Postgraduate Council Professor Bhaskar Behera, Director of the College Development Council Dr. Santosh Kumar Agrawal, Controller of Examinations Ranjan Kumar Ray, and Director of the Human Resource Development Centre Professor Ranindra Kumar Nayak. Each contributed valuable perspectives on the evolving educational landscape.
The conference also witnessed active participation from all affiliated college principals and their representatives, who discussed institutional challenges and shared insights on various academic and administrative issues.
The program was conducted by Dr. Rajashree Dutta, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Professor Pankaj Kumar Padhi.
