REPORT ON COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES

Bhubaneswar (29/07/2024): D M School, RIE , Bhubaneswar organised an awareness campaign and took out a rally in connection with the community engagement activities on 28th of July,2024 from 8 am to 11 am under the aegis of SHIKSHA SAPTAH which was celebrated from 22nd July to 28th July 2024 by the Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar In this connection, Ninety students including NSS Volunteers, NCC Cadets and Bharat Scouts and Guides students of the school visited the slum colony, Nandini Pali Munda Sahi and created awareness among the inhabitants regarding Vector-borne diseases like, malaria, dengue, cholera, diarrhea etc.

The students held placards and banners on which slogans regarding prevention from these diseases were written.

They walked all the way from D M School premise to the above-mentioned basti/ slum colony raising relevant slogans.

The students along with their escorts held nukkad shows and delivered speeches on DOS and DON’TS in order to ensure prevention from water-borne diseases during this infectious season.

They also distribute chocolates and cookies among the children who attended the programme with keen interest and enthusiasm.

They were led by the school NSS Programme Officer, Ghulam Rahbar, NCC Officer Ghanshyam Patra and the Bharat Scouts leader Pankaj Mishra.

The Headmaster Akhileshwar Mishra also took part in this campaign and graced the occasion.
