Salaries of 91 government officials withheld in Cuttack

Cuttack(By Abhishek Mohanty): The Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell has reportedly expressed strong dissatisfaction with the functioning of the Cuttack district administration.

Cuttack has been ranked the lowest in terms of grievance redressal. Despite regular hearings at the grievance cell, allegations indicate that the district administration has not been giving adequate priority to resolving public complaints.

Taking serious note of the issue, District Collector Dattatreya Bhausaheb Shinde has ordered the withholding of salaries for the month of November for several officials.

A total of 91 government officials in Cuttack district will not receive their November salaries as a consequence of their failure to effectively conduct public hearings.

Those affected include the Sub-Collectors of Banki and Athagarh, as well as the Cuttack Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO).

The action aims to enforce accountability and improve grievance-handling efficiency across the district.
