Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): Odisha Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Empowerment and Energy Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo reviewed the Odisha Power Generating Corporation (OPGC) at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
Odisha Power Generation Corporation is a key player in the energy landscape of the state, catering to over 30 percent of the state's load demand. In addition, it also establish, operates and maintain large thermal power generating stations.
The Deputy Chief Minister has directed to take appropriate steps to strengthen and upgrade the data management, operational security infrastructure of Odisha Power Generating Corporation and to upgrade its internal security system. Proposals have been made to secure it through cloud computing, artificial intelligence and high-end technology.
In this context, advice is being sought from technical security providers.
A presentation on the subject was made to Deputy Chief Minister Singh Deo today by RailTel company.
The presentation was attended by the Principal Secretary Vishal Kumar Dev, Managing Director of Odisha Power Generation Corporation Kedar Ranjan Pandu, Financial Advisor and Additional Secretary Devidutta Tripathi, RailTel officials.
