Speech and Drawing Competitions Held During the Golden Jubilee Celebrations

Balasore, 28/06 –(Krushna Kumar Mohanty) In anticipation of the upcoming Foundation Day and Van Mahotsav, a speech and drawing competition was recently held at the Regional Government High School, Saun, under Genguti Panchayat of Balasore Sadar Block. The event was organized by the dynamic alumni council of the school.

The inaugural session was presided over by the President of the council, Mr. Jaladhar Samal, and was formally inaugurated by senior artist Kesu Das. Former Odisha Sahitya Akademi member Dr. Kalipada Panda graced the occasion as Chief Guest and addressed the students, offering them inspiring insights.

Among other dignitaries were the Headmaster Dronacharya Pattayat, judge and educationist Pushpita Das, Banalata Das, and Gadadhar Mohanty, who actively participated in the event. Secretary Sudhakar Sethy delivered the introductory remarks.

Manmath Kumar Barik extended the formal welcome, while Assistant Secretary Satyanarayan Acharya offered the vote of thanks. The event was anchored by Sabyasachi Pradhan, Jayashree Rout, Sanat Kumar Parida, and Hemendra Kumar Bugudei. Teachers Itishree Behera, Shraddhanjali Mallik, Geetanjali Patra, Chinmayee Patra, and Prashanta Kumar Das played a vital role in supporting and coordinating the proceedings.

It was announced by Mr. Samal that on July 7, for the first time in the school’s history, Foundation Day and Van Mahotsav will be jointly celebrated, during which meritorious students from the competitions will be felicitated.
