Statue Cleaning Drive in Balasore on World Heritage Day

Balasore, 21/04 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): On the occasion of World Heritage Day, a statue cleaning and preservation drive was organized in Balasore city through a joint initiative of Baleswar Darshan and Yuba Bikash Samajik Sangathan.

Various statues installed across the city were cleaned by volunteers during this event. The program was inaugurated by Yuba Bikash President Gobinda Dalai. Eminent personalities such as artist Keshudas, Prashanta Kumar Padhi, Arun Kumar Swain, Ashish Chakraborty, artist Bishwajit Paramanik, poet Abhaya Das, Chandraanshu Banerjee, Rajesh Padhi, Jagajyoti Mohanty, Subash Khuntia, and Laxmipriya Marandi participated in the drive.

The cleanliness program began at 8 AM and continued till 10:30 AM. Along with cleaning the statues, volunteers also took the initiative to raise public awareness about the significance of World Heritage Day.
