Teachers to visit homes of students with prolonged absenteeism

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): The Odisha School and Mass Education Department has directed school authorities to visit the homes of students who do not attend school regularly. 

As per the directive, teachers will conduct home visits if a student remains absent from school for a continuous period of one week.

The department has issued formal instructions in this regard to all District Education Officers (DEOs) and Block Education Officers (BEOs). 

During the visits, school authorities will interact with families to understand the reasons behind students’ absence and take necessary steps to ensure regular attendance.
