Dawn-to-dusk bandh affects vehicular movement in Telkoi

Sambalpur(12/09/2024): A dawn-to-dusk bandh called by the Chakadhara Samanwaya Committee affected vehicular movement in Telkoi block of Keonjhar district on Thursday. Opposing the Samakoi irrigation project, the protestors staged a road blockade near Jagmohanpur, disrupting movement of vehicles on NH-49. Owing to the strike, shops, markets and educational institutions remained shut According to the bandh supporters, several hectares of land may not receive water, if this project is implemented.
