TRUCK OWNERS OBSERVE 24-HOUR BANDH IN KEONJHAR
Keonjhar (18/03/2024): The Truck Owners' Association started a 24-hour bandh in Keonjhar district on Monday morning. The members of the Association stopped two trains at Keonjhar railway station protesting the railway project from Suakathi to Guhaldihi.
Several local associations in including Keonjhar Merchants' Association have extended their support to the strike.
Essential services have been excluded from the purview of the bandh. The protestors demanded cancellation of the project.
They alleged that they will become jobless due to the project as all the iron ores would be carried by trains.
