Two-Day Visit of Principal Secretary to Balasore: Reviews Development Initiatives Across Departments

Balasore, 29/04 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): Vishal Kumar Dev, Principal Secretary of Odisha Government's Energy, Electronics & Information Technology Department, undertook a two-day official visit to Balasore district, during which he reviewed various developmental activities across several sectors.
Starting from the local Circuit House at 7 AM today, the Principal Secretary proceeded by road to inspect multiple projects and initiatives. His visit included a review of sports-related infrastructure at the ITI Chhak-based MPH (Sports), interactive discussions with Anganwadi workers at Begampur's Narahari Pur centre, and an assessment of the progress of a rural water supply micro-project executed by Gramya Jala O Parimala Sanstha at Gandarda in Begampur. He also visited the water purification unit at Ayodhya and reviewed the tourism development works undertaken by the Tourism Department at the Bhudharchandi Temple in Sajanagarh.
At Nilagiri Sub-Divisional Hospital, he held discussions with the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) regarding the hospital’s operations and its nutrition centre. Later, he interacted with the headmaster of K.C. High School to discuss the implementation of the PM SHRI scheme. The Principal Secretary also inspected various aspects of the TP-NODL (Tata Power-North Odisha Distribution Limited) project at Shobharampur.
During the visit, he was accompanied by Balasore Collector Suryabanshi Mayur Vikas, Additional Collectors Sudhakar Nayak (General) and Hemant Singh (Revenue), along with BDO Prathamesh Aravind Rajesirke and other senior officials.
At 4 PM in the District Collector’s Conference Hall, a review meeting was chaired by the Principal Secretary, where he assessed the implementation of various government schemes by different departments of Balasore district. He also advised the officials for effective and successful execution of these schemes. Present at the review meeting were Collector Suryabanshi Mayur Vikas, Additional Collectors Sudhakar Nayak and Hemant Singh, BDO Prathamesh Aravind Rajesirke, Dr. Madhusmita Samantaray (Additional CEO, Zilla Parishad), and Sub-Collector of Nilagiri, Smt. Subhashree Rath, among others.
