UNION HEALTH MINISTER CHAIRS MEETING WITH STATE HEALTH MINISTERS TO ASSESS PREPAREDNESS ON COVID
New Delhi (20/12/2023): Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday chaired a high level meeting virtually with the Health Ministers of various states to access the current status and preparedness on COVID-19. The Union Minister said, "It is time to work together with a 'Whole of Government' approach, through working with each other closely.
We need to stay alert and there is no need to panic." Mandaviya advised the Ministers to be prepared with mock drills of hospital preparedness, increased surveillance and effective communication with the people. Stating that mock drills should be conducted in all hospitals once every three months, he assured all support from the Centre to states.
Health is not an area of politics, he added.
