Union Health Minister inaugurates 9th National Summit on Good & Replicable Practices and Innovation in Public Healthcare System

Puri(28/02/2025): Union Health Minister JP Nadda inaugurated the 9th National Summit on Good & Replicable Practices and Innovation in Public Healthcare System in Puri on Friday. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi and Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling also graced the inaugural ceremony two-day event. The Union Health Minister expressed his happiness over the decline in maternal and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Odisha.

He said, "In IMR, our decline is double than the global decline of MMR.

This has become possible because the healthcare system has been strengthened.

Training of ASHA workers is a significant step in this regard." Nadda highlighted that the TB-free India campaign has achieved major success and 90 percent of the population has benefited from the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. He further informed that people will receive cancer treatment within 30 days of diagnosis of the disease.
