XIM UNIVERSITY'S SCHOOL OF RURAL MANAGEMENT ORGANISES XPECTRM’24
Bhubaneswar(16/02/2024): The School of Rural Management, XIM University (New Campus), in association with SRM Alumni Committee, the core committee of the School of Rural Management, successfully organised XPECTRM’24 on the topic “From Idea to Impact: Social Entrepreneurship in Emerging Markets” on Friday. The event commenced with an opening address by Dr.Niraj Kumar, Dean of the School of Rural Management, XIM University, followed by an introductory address by Prof.Gautam Prateek, Assistant Professor, School of Rural Management, XIM University. The event commenced with a keynote address from Prof.Balram Bhushan, Assistant Professor of the School of Rural Management and the moderator.
He illuminated the contemporary shift from the selfless act of "giving back to society" to a new era marked by “collaborative movement and shared existence.” The speakers explored various challenges, including financial constraints, resource allocation, and profitability, emphasising the importance of sustainability.
The founding story of Vitto, inspired by direct engagement with farmers and a recognition of financial hurdles, displayed a commitment to addressing real-world problems.
