20 kg gold seized from logistics vehicle

Baripada(26/10/2024): A significant haul of 20 kg gold was seized by the GST team from a logistics vehicle near MKC High School in Baripada of Mayurbhanj district. The vehicle was traveling from Mumbai and Kolkata to Baripada when intercepted. Invoices of certain businessmen also confiscated for investigation. The vehicle and three occupants were detained in this connection. This operation highlights the ongoing efforts to curb smuggling and tax evasion in Odisha.
