37 ODISHA POLICE PERSONNEL RECEIVE POLICE MEDALS
Bhubaneswar (26/01/2024): On the occasion of 75th Republic Day, as many as 37 police personnel from Odisha were conferred with police medals.
Governor Raghubar Das gave away the medals in presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. While SOG Subedar Prahalad Himirika, SOG SI (Armed) Santosh Kumar Giri, SOG Commando Suneel Kumar Bariha, and DV Bargarh Constable Sujit Kumar Rana received medals for gallantry, ADGP (Modernization) Sanjay Kumar and Additional SP (BPSPA) Rabindra Nath Satpathy were conferred with President's Medal for Distinguished Service. The Medal for Meritorious Service was presented to IG of Police, Northern Range, Sambalpur Deepak Kumar.
Similarly, Ananta Charan Pati (Superintendent of Police, Special Branch), Benudhar Nayak (Retired SP, Vigilance, Jeypore Division), Rajib Lochan Panda (Additional SP, IUCAW, Ganjam), Amita Tripathy (DSP, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar Division), Umakanta Pradhan (ACP, UPD, Bhubaneswar), Dillip Kumar Nayak (SI of Police, Armed, BTI, Burla), Gupta Prasad Mohanty (ASI of Police, Khordha), Krushna Chandra Mohanta (SI, Havildar, Mayurbhanj), Peter Tirkey (Constable, Deogarh) and Sushanta Kumar Majhi (Constable, Security Wing, Special Branch, Bhubaneswar).
