Anganwadi children to get high-quality uniforms; Odisha government increases clothing allowance

Bhubaneswar(By Abhishek Mohanty): The Odisha government has announced an increase in the cost of uniforms for Anganwadi children under the Malati Devi Pre-School Scheme. The move will ensure better-quality uniforms for young children.
For boys, the uniform allowance has been raised from Rs 100 to Rs 175, while for girls, it has been increased from Rs 150 to Rs 250. 

Additionally, the expenditure for shoes has been increased from Rs 100 to Rs 150 per child.

The announcement was made by Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida as part of the Women and Child Development Program, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving early childhood education and care.
