Balasore Collector Flags Off ‘Sahayog’ Mobile Assistance Van to Raise Beneficiary Awareness
Balasore, January 5 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): In a move to strengthen awareness among eligible beneficiaries, Balasore District Collector and District Magistrate Suryabanshi Mayur Bikash on Monday flagged off the ‘Sahayog’ mobile assistance van from the Collectorate premises at around 10 am. The mobile assistance van will tour urban areas, blocks, and villages across the district to disseminate information and promote awareness about 13 major government welfare schemes.
The initiative aims to reach out to eligible beneficiaries who have so far remained excluded from various schemes and help them access benefits through proper guidance.
The district administration informed that beneficiaries can register themselves on the ‘Sahayog’ portal through the mobile van and avail benefits under all eligible schemes. Special focus will be given to economically weaker sections living in urban areas, ensuring that no deserving individual is left out.
Among the schemes covered under the initiative are Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), Ration Card, e-Shram Card, Subhadra Yojana, Garima Yojana, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, Madhu Babu Pension Yojana, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, piped drinking water supply, PwD identity cards, and other welfare programmes.
The flag-off programme was attended by Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Sanjay Kumar Rout, Sub-Collector Shiva Malavya, Executive Officer of Balasore Municipality Nirlipta Mahanty, Balasore Tahasildar Debi Prasanna Saraswat, and District Information and Public Relations Officer Priyadarshi Rajesh, among others.
