Baliyatra Cuttack Utsav-2024

With preparations in full swing nearing completion the millennial city ,Cuttack is all set to welcome a host of dignitaries and diplomats from South East Asian countries. Today evening at 5.30 pm CM Mohan Charan Majhi will inaugurate this globally reckoned festival. The Collector & DM , Cuttack Dattatrey B Shinde briefing newspersons told that Ambassadors and High Commissioners from countries namely Srilanka, Bangladesh,Thailand, Laos PDR, Bhutan,Singapore, Nepal,Malaysia, Indonesia, Nauru, Solomon Island, New Zealand , Fiji, Timor Leste and Brunei are likely to grace this mega event .

Around 2500 stall will attract millions of visitors this year out of which ORMAS has placed 500 stalls where women SHG  led products right from delicacies like Pitha to pottery and weaving textiles will be demonstrated. Four wide roads are laid connecting these stalls while 3 entrances and an emergency gate have been erected for smooth movement of such a huge traffic. Chemically mixed spraying will be ensured to curb heavy flow of dust and 385 toilets have been installed for the convenience of visitors. 

Spectacular cultural evening by Bali and Indonesian artists will enthral the audience alongside Bhajan Sandhya by Padma Sri Anup Jalota and folk music by eminent artist Pankaj Jal and troupe.Two magnificent pandals have been created commemorating the genius of two cultural icons of Odisha Ganakabi Baishnab Pani and Evergreen singing sensation Akshay Mohanty.
