Bank of India Opens Its 73rd New Branch in Balasore; First Account Opened by a Woman
Balasore, January 6 (Krushna Kumar Mohanty): Bank of India has inaugurated a new branch at Proof Road in Balasore town. With this opening, the branch becomes the 73rd branch of the bank, aimed at providing enhanced banking facilities to residents of the surrounding areas.
According to bank officials, the new branch is expected to play a significant role in strengthening financial access and support for the local community.
The inauguration programme was organised under the supervision of Branch Manager Niharika Satapathy and was attended by Zonal Manager Kamalesh Ranjan, District Zonal Manager Nishchit, and Senior Manager Bhavani Samal. On the occasion, Balasore Municipal Chairperson Sabita Sahu, noted industrialist Sangram Das, and social worker Bikram Panda attended as guests and formally inaugurated the branch.
Among others present were Paramananda Mahapatra, Falguni Mahapatra, Sampad Das, Chirag Chauhan, and Gobind Rathi.
The new branch will offer a range of services including savings and current accounts, home loans, education loans, women’s self-reliance schemes, and various loan facilities at affordable interest rates. Notably, on the very first day of the branch’s operation, a woman, Nasrin Chauhan, opened the first bank account, marking a symbolic beginning for the new branch.
