Brown sugar, cash to the tune of Rs 3044855 recovered in Bhadrak

On December 9, 2024, a police team received credible information about the illegal sale of contraband articles, specifically brown sugar, in the Mir Sahi Elkha area of Bhadrak district. At 4:30 p.m.

on December 9, on receiving reliable information, police team promptly entered it into the SDE with entry number 08.

A team consisting of police personnel ,IIC,Bhadrak town city DSP,under guidance of SP,Bhadrak was formed and dispatched to the location.

Upon arrival, they discovered a plastic zipper pocket containing brown sugar, emitting a strong odor.

The accused, Kanij Fatama, was apprehended and found in possession of 16.350 grams of brown sugar and cash amounting to Rs 30,44,855. The accused is currently detained at the police station, and the investigation is ongoing. This case falls under Section 21(b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
