BUS RAMS INTO CEMENT-LADEN TRUCK; DRIVER, HELPER DEAD
Jajpur (08/06/2024): At least two persons were killed after a tourist bus rammed into a cement-laden truck at Kandhei chhak under Barchana police limits in Jajpur district late on Friday night. The deceased are said to be the driver and helper of the bus which was en route to Puri from Kolkata.
At least 13 passengers sustained injuries in the mishap.
The condition of seven persons is said to be critical.
They were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. The bus carrying 60 passengers caught fire after the accident.
Immediately, fire services department personnel were called and two bodies were pulled out.
Some passengers were rescued by breaking the windows of the vehicle .
