CM NAVEEN PATNAIK DISTRIBUTES LAND PATTAS TO SLUM DWELLERS OF FIVE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION AREAS
Bhubaneswar (28/08/2023): Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday distributed land pattas or land rights certificates to slum dwellers residing in five municipal corporation areas of Odisha. Under the JAGA Mission, 65,000 families in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur, Berhampur and Rourkela have received land rights certificates.
With the latest distribution, 2 lakh 40 thousand families have already received their land rights certificates. This apart, 40,000 families have been given assistance for house construction. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said, "Urban areas are not only meant for rich people, poor people also have the right to live here with dignity." He stated that land rights certificates will be given to eligible beneficiaries in the second phase in the month of October.
They will get house construction assistance, water, electricity and other facilities, he added.
