Cyclone likely to form on morning of October 27
Bhubaneswar (By Abhishek Mohanty): A cyclone is expected to develop over the Bay of Bengal by the morning of October 27.
The low-pressure area currently formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify.
It is expected to move in a west-northwest direction.
The system may further concentrate into a depression by October 25.
By October 26, it is likely to become a deep depression.
There is a high possibility of it turning into a cyclone by the morning of October 27.
According to India Meteorological Department Bhubaneswar Regional Office Director Manorama Mohanty, under the influence of the cyclone, heavy rain and strong winds may lash parts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh on October 27, with the intensity picking on October 28 and 29.
